Friars and Dodgers split

Game 1,
Greg Harris was lights out for the Padres in the first game as he pitched a complete game, 3 hit shutout. Darrin Jackson crushed a 2-run homerun to help in the cause. Padres 3...Dodgers 0.

Game 2,
Future former Padre Kevin Brown went six innings to overpower his future former teammates.  Brown got relief support from Mulholland, Quantrill, and Eric Gagne to nail down the LA win.  Dodgers 2...Padres 1.

Game 3,
Darrin Jackson crushed a go-ahead 3 run homerun to lead a come from behind victory for San Diego. Jackson drove in 4 runs to assist the Padres offense.  Bruce Hurst improves to 5-1 despite not having his best stuff.  Rich Rodriguez pitched the ninth for the Friars to earn his first save of the year.  Padres 9....Dodgers 7.

Game 4,
Brian Jordan, Eric Karros, and Paul LoDuca combined for 7 hits and 7 RBI to help the Dodgers earn a split in San Diego. Lefty, Dennis Ramussen was pounded for 13 hits and 8 runs and fell to 1-2.  The victory went to Odalis Perez (2-3). Dodgers 8...Padres 2.
