KOD17: 64 Baltimore versus 27 Philadelphia

The teams split the 4 game series.
 
game 1
Orioles 7 A's 5 .... Orioles used 4 walks, 2 singles and double to score 6 runs in the 3rd inning and then held on for the win.  Adair had 2 run single and Brown a 2 run double in that 3rd inning.  Cochrane had 3 run homer and Simmons a solo homer for the A's. 
 
game 2
A's 9 Orioles 3 .....  Al Simmons hit 2 doubles, homer driving in 3 and Hale had 2 singles and 2 rbis and Bishop hit 2 run homer as A's scored runs in every inning but the 2nd and 8th.  Walberg went the distance for the win.
 
game 3
A's 6 Orioles 5 (12 innings) ... A's scored 4 runs in first inning as Dykes had 2 run double and Cochrane a 2 run homer.  A's lead 5-1 into the 9th but Orioles opened the inning with 2 straight singles and a walk. After a sac fly and strikeout, Brown and Snyder singled tying the game.  In the 12th Dykes opened with a walk and advanced on a wild pitch.  Boley double him in for the winning run.
 
game 4
Orioles 5 A's 2 ....  Brandt started the game with a homerun and after Powell's single and Brooks Robinson double, Siebern grounded in a run.  Orioles added 2 in 6th as Bowens followed an error with a triple and scored on Adair's ground out.  Powell's homer in 7th gave Orioles a 5-0 lead but Pappas tired and gave up rbi singles to Dykes and Boley.  In the 9th, A's loaded the bases with 2 outs but Dykes failed to give Haddix a save and the Orioles the win and split.

Gents,

Due to the Holiday(s) we wound up getting a little off track.
Here is the week 9 file.

The deadline is NEXT Sat (9/14).  This will give us 9 days to play week 9.
There will be NO EXTENSIONS granted, since 9 days is more than enough time.  I think we can all agree on that.
