Due to technical difficulties, these games were played computer versus manager.
Orioles finished winning 2 of 3 from the Royals to finish at 24 - 25.
game 1
Orioles 3 Royals 1 .... Adair's rbi single in 7th inning broke a 1 all tie and Orioles went on to win game 1. Lou Jackson's pinch hit rbi single added an insurance run in the 7th. Barber started the game for the Orioles but disappeared in the 2nd inning (I assume there was an injury but no statement appeared to confirm this) and Bunker came on to pitch 5.2 innings allowing only 1 run. Hall came on for the save.
game 2
Orioles 3 Royals 2 (11 innings) .... Boog Powell homered with 1 out in bottom of 11th to give Orioles the win. Royals had lead 2 - 1 going into the 9th on Balboni's rbi double in in 1st inning and Orta's pinch hit single in 6th. Orioles tied game in 9th on single to Aparicio, a sac bunt and then rbi single by Brooks Robinson.
game 3
Royals 3 Orioles 0 .... Leibrandt went the distance pitching a 5 hit shutout, striking out 5 and walking 3. Balboni's rbi double in 7th snapped scoreless tie and Willie Wilson's 2 run single in 8th provided insurance.
